Mini Lush Haul!

Hello everyone!

I recently went to lush, *yay* I held myself back this time compared to my last haul which can be found HERE which I ironically thought was a mini haul, little did I know that lot lasted me until now. But here is the small amount of things that I brought this time!

I'll start with my bubble bar!

I got Sunnyside, a sparkly raindrop looking bubble bar. The description is "bathe in liquid gold with this uplifting bubble bar. Full of sweet orange and lemon oil" I love the scent of this as it smells super awakening. I am really looking forward to the bubbles that this creates and the colour of the water.

Onto the bathbombs, a lush must have!

The first one is a Fizzbanger Bath Bomb, a pretty plain one although as you can see in the photo below there is a hint of blue so I'm excited to see how this makes the water look. The description says "A toffee-apple for your bath, perfect for the young and the young at heart" I love how simple this one is with quite a sweet but citrus smell.

Next is a Guardian of the Forest, I am in love with how fresh this bath bomb smells, the small tree shaping on the outside is really nice and I'm really looking forward to seeing the green forest bath that this will create. The description says "see with eyes uncovered as you find the spirit of the forest, dappled with mossy greens and soft with the shimmer of lustre. Prickly on the senses at first, the calming cypress and mystical oakmoss absolute will embrace you, drawing you into the bright, sunlit heart of this woodland bomb."

And last but certainly not least the famous Intergalactic, this was the one that I knew i wanted before even stepping into the store, I have seen many pictures and videos of this so I am incredibly excited about trying this one myself. The description says " Take a bath with a star lord, with this out-of-this-world bath bomb. Inspired by space pirates and intergalactic funk"

My Summer Beauty Essentials!

Hello everyone and welcome to 2017!

Today I am going to be talking about my summer beauty essentials of 2016/17.
I am absolutely in love with these products and have been using them all summer long! I really recommend them all, also with good prices ;)

Starting with skincare!

Nivea, daily essentials double effect eye makeup remover - NZD$11.59

I love this product, it really dissolves makeup and makes it so easy to use. I just wet my hands and face with lukewarm water then after shaking this us rub it completely over my face then wash it off with a damp cloth before cleansing. This is so good it removes Jeffree Star liquid lipsticks in seconds!!


Fake Tan!

Dove Summer Glow, Gradual Self Tanner in medium to dark skin - NZD$7.99

This self tanner has saved my life!! I am as white as you can get, so using a medium to dark works just like a full fake tan but I find it so much easier to apply and remove. It gives a perfect natural tan without all the effort!

Deodorant! 

Nivea Pearl and Beauty - NZD$5.99

A bit of a different one but who can live in a summer without a good deodorant? This one is amazing (as deodorants go) and so cheap! I can't speak highly enough of it

Makeup!

Australis High Life Highlight powder - NZD$19.50

I swear that you can literally see me from the moon with this!! It would be perfect for a beginner and is perfect for every day use anyway.

Australis Velourlips Matte Lip Cream - NZD$17.50

This is just highlighting this particular type of liquid lipstick. I love the texture and payoff of these, they are my go to lip colours at the moment. I have ny-cee (pictured), Hono-loo-loo and Oh-saka.


ChiChi Cosmetics Eyeshadow Palette in Sun Kissed - NZD$31.49

I absolutely love the ChiChi eyeshadow palettes, they have always been my go to. This Sun Kissed palette is my newest and I love the colours for summer!

New Beginnings

Hello and welcome back to my blog!!

Do you all remember me?!?!

Well hows the first few months of 2016 been treating us all? For me it has been pretty good in all honesty, i have started my course which i am loving with some amazing new friends. I have also been sorting out my skin routine to make it better for my skin types and the conditions i put my skin through, I am happy and nothing much could be better right now!! 

Today I am talking about new beginnings and starting fresh.
When I say new beginnings i mean anything big or small, every fresh start is healthy for you even if it doesn't feel like it.

I have started my beauty therapy course as of two weeks ago nearly and this was completely new and different to me, I am only 18 and my whole life has been just between two different schools my primary school and my high school, so coming into a whole new learning environment only knowing one person was a total culture change for me, yes it was hard and scary but now I couldn't be happier about it. When it comes to first days I always try to remember that its mostly everyone's first day not just yours so as you're thinking about how you look if your makeup is good or your clothes suit you all the people around you are most likely doing the exact same about themselves. Everyone wants to make a good impression on the first day so as a natural human reaction you think about yourself and how to make yourself more appealing to the new people around you.

On my first day of course there was two girls in particular who scared me i felt incredibly intimated by them, one we will call her 'Lily', she was already wearing the uniform that i now wear so i assumed that she was a second year and that she was looking at me and laughing as though she was thinking look at this little girl shes stupid and trying too hard you know the usual things you think people are saying about you, sitting next to 'Lily' was 'Charlotte' she is the absolutely gorgeous girl sitting there with her hair done nicely heels on just looking a lot better than i did, they were together so my mind went off again thinking oh god they are talking about me talking about how bad i look ect ect. It turns out that these two people are now two of my best friends. I thought that they were looking at me, judging me and laughing, I now know that they weren't laughing at me they were talking about how maybe I'm in their course too and positive things like that and yet I looked at the situation entirely negatively. 

Now from these girls plus a couple others in my course and my amazing boyfriend I have started to look at the positives in life more than the negatives. This way of life is so much better for me and it is all down to new beginnings.

Start a fresh, a clean slate actually forgiving yourself for your past mistakes can be super healthy for you, so please try to do this for you! 'new beginnings' can mean anything, whatever it means to you. Try a new hairstyle, do your makeup differently, change your hair colour, move the furniture in your room or house around just change things occasionally even small things and you will be happier and it'll feel like a new challenge, a new section of your life even if everything else is still the same you can be happy and find a sliver lining with your change in your life.

Models Prefer - Match Maker lipsticks first impressions!

Happy 2016 (yes almost a month late but still)!

I made a sneaky wee purchase when this product I had been looking at for a while now went on sale for $11 from $30, it made it impossible to walk away from! I got these from a life pharmacy. Models Prefer don't seem to have a online shop but I just looked up Models Prefer Match Maker and got heaps of results of international especially Australian sites containing the same product.
This set has 6 lipsticks and 6 nail polishes that compliment the colour of each lipstick. Today I'm doing first impressions of the lipsticks, let me know if you want to see the nail polishes also!

This is the packaging and layout.

I was instantly drawn to the colours in this as they are all my favourites! There is a wide variety of seasonal colours within this pack. Just from looking at it like this the nail polish colours are super close and match the lipsticks that they correspond with. The end lipstick is a very light pink so has a white nail polish to compliment it.

From left to right: Barcelona, Cancun, Santa Cruz, Bora Bora, Waikiki, and Santorini. Looking at the colours I am amazed at the quality, particularly from a brand that I have never heard of before. As I said above the colours are seasonal with Barcelona suitable for Christmas and winter, Cancun for autumn, Bora Bora and Waikiki for spring, and Santa Cruz and Santorini suitable for summer. 

Swatches of these show the quality and the texture of the lipstick. From these swatches along I can tell that my favourites and soon to be staple lipsticks are Waikiki and Bora Bora. These are definitely my colours! Barcelona seems to more of a lip gloss texture and it very glossy whereas Cancun is the most matte out of this set. After washing the swatches off the colours that took the most time to wash off are Barcelona, Bora Bora and Waikiki. I was unable to do a 'kiss test' or any long wear test with these today but if you would like to see a full review with wear times ect within let me know!

Overall I am very happy with this purchase and can tell that I will get good use from the products and for $11 it was even more worth it!!
